Do you workout? Play sports? Yard work?
We all do some level of exercise every week of our lives rather it is conscious movement or not. We all rank ourselves at a poor, fair, good, or great level. Some take it to the next level by working out every day, being a weekend warrior, dancing, running a marathon, practicing some sport every day, or even being a professional athlete. I even say those of us who have yards and spend long hours in our yards several hours a week or every season need to support our bodies nutritionally. Being in shape to mow the lawn or climb the stairs is just as important as being able to attend that dance class. We all want to do better. It is my philosophy that when we know better, we do better.
Our activities can be divided in to three phases – energy to get started, hydration to stay at it, and recovery so we aren’t sore and can return to the activity in the future. It’s a simple concept and makes a lot of sense.
So my question to you from a health perspective is…Are you unleashing your inner athlete in a healthy way? Or are you fueling your fire and performing at your highest level?
